Here are some of the Upcoming Events that are scheduled at Celebration Center in addition to our Sunday Celebration Service and Classes.

We would love to have you participate and join in on the fun.

Artist's way - Walking in the world

The Artist’s Way Classes  based on the book by Julia Cameron on how to encourage your innate creativity was a smash hit last Fall when it made its debut here at the Celebration Center.  Walking in the World, a continuation of the Artist’s Way is the second book in the series that is being offered as a free, twelve part class and began Thursday, May 15th in the Loft at 7 PM.  There is still time to join!  Aimed at practicing artists-and Julia Cameron considers everyone from full-time pianists to part-time pie makers to be such-she explains how creating a work, whether it's a novel or a nosegay, puts people deeply in touch with the Great Creator. Then, in the form of a 12-week program, she outlines steps and exercises to nourish the "artist within." Some of these ideas, such as the pages she recommends writing every morning, will be familiar to readers of her previous work. Others, which are meant to help readers discover traits such as dignity, authenticity, and discernment, are new. Given Cameron's obvious familiarity with, and fondness for, the artistic temperament, this book is essential to opening you up to your God-given creativity.  Jean Stark facilitates the class series.  Please contact her at 703/405-9751 to sign-up. These classes are a great place to support each other no matter what our outlet is.

Wyllene Watson-Wilfong - Imagine Detachment

Workshop September 19, 7-10 PM and September 20, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Change is inevitable.

It is the premise of which life is.  When we make decisions to change, it may be done based on old beliefs, habits, cultural identities and/or some type of influence that has impacted our lives.

This workshop is designed to flush out emotions and patterns of behavior through an imagined detachment to clearly identify if the Change desired is the Change required to live a more fulfilled life.  Spiritual Principles and chakras will be used as anchors and points of focus during the workshop.
