Evening Service at Celebration Center |
 |
|
Celebration Center offers a variety of Evening Services Throughout the Month. check the calendar for the exact service being offer in the upcoming week. "We know that we are the offspring of Life, the manifestation of Light. We know that all the presence and all the power and all the love and all the wisdom and all the peace and joy and all the friendship and togetherness exist in the totality which we are, in which we embrace each other in love, in joy, and in peace.
And it is our desire that there shall be unfolded to us - all of us - during this brief interval of our own contemplation a power so dynamic, a beauty so terrific, a peace so deep and a joy so flowing that Heaven and earth shall meet and make one vast music as before. And so it is."

SACRED DRUMMING
1st Sunday of the month 6:30-7:30pm
Drumming is known to relieve stress, to lift spirits, to create community, to put us in touch with the natural beat of the universe around us and enliven within us a means of connecting with spiritual realms. The pulsing rhythm seems to provide a wave that carries us beyond our emotions and intellect to a deeper, higher level where we can receive guidance and blessing.
The beat is universal – drumming as a way of communicating with other people, spirits, and self exists around the world and throughout time. In healing centers, nursing homes, women's centers, and schools across the country, people are forming drumming circles. From West Africa to Tibet, from Siberia to England, from Vietnam to Apache territory where Fox gave the people drums along with fire, come stories about drums, their invention, and their use in communication, to stimulate move in rhythm with the universe, and to praise their gods.
Everyone is invited to our Sacred Drumming. No prior experience is needed. You can bring your own percussion instrument or use some of the many that we have available. |

EVENSONG
2nd and 3rd Sunday of the Month 6:30-7:30pm
Evensong is a meditative service said or sung at the onset of evening to mark the close of day with gratitude, and to compose the mind and renew the spirit for the coming week.
Come and enjoy meditation, chanting, prayers and live music with the Practitioners. This will be a regular service of the Celebration Center of Religious Science, designed for all of you who like to hike, drive, go to the beach or just sleep in on Sunday morning.
The Celebration Center of Religious Science offers this Evensong Service as an opportunity to practice the Presence of Spirit, in ourselves, in each other, and in all things. We take this time to rest in the Heart of God, to give thanks for our lives and our blessings. Please join in as we sing, meditate and pray together as a community. |

TAIZE
4th Sunday of the month 6:30-7:30pm
Taizé is named for a religious community in France founded by Brother Roger. In honor of his grandmother, it is dedicated to peace through the reconciliation of all peoples of the world. For many people the name "Taizé" evokes a certain style of singing that has become popular in many churches, retreat centers, campus parishes and even seminaries. For some, the word suggests retreat from the busy-ness of the world in order to focus on God. The Taizé service is ecumenical – persons of all faiths are invited.
As peacemakers we are non-combatants. We are invited to be peace – to fill our consciousness with peace – a peace that transcends circumstance – so that for humanity can experience peace.
This is a time of remembering. Remembrance begins with deep, personal identification. It begins with remembering our Oneness with all of God’s creation – our Oneness with our brothers and sisters everywhere. Remembrance is a sacred moment when we focus on the light of the eternal moment. |

|
EASTERN STYLE CHANTING 5th Sunday of the month 6:30-7:30pm (When Applicable) We will be immersed in a variety of bhajan/kirtans … call and response Hindu chants in which we are all encouraged (but not required) to participate. Everyone is invited chant the various names of God in His/Her different modes, Ganesha, Durge, Krishna, Rama, Shiva, Radhe, Sita etc. These “gods” are divine attributes that exist within each of us and represent the true Self. The names of God have particular vibrations, that when sung, enliven our spirits and bodies. Our facilitators will also sing some songs, drawn from the Yogananda tradition that brought the spirit of the bhajan into a more Western idiom, in English.
