Activating Joy
Our theme for December is joy. At the center of every heart is a deep well of joy. In that place, (metaphorically speaking) God sits and waits for our return. The mundane activities of life carry us away from that center. Adult obligations and responsibilities distract us and cause us to forget the joy that waits for our return.
Like a child who desperately wants to run outdoors and play, something inside us yearns to be free of the nonsense of everyday life. That is Spirit calling out to us: “Come and play with Me.”
Return to your center and experience that childhood joy again. Become as little children and enter the “kingdom of heaven” again. Join us every Sunday in December and enjoy the holiday season.

“I know that there is never anything to lose, so it’s easy for me to hold nothing back from life. And because I give it everything I have, my life is complete in every moment. There is never anything undone. There is no moment in my life when I’m not complete.”
A Thousand Names for Joy
“The Buddha was asked, “What do you and your disciples practice?” And he replied, “We sit, we walk, and we eat.” The questioner continued, “But sir, everyone sits, walks, and eats.” The Buddha told him, “When we sit, we know we are sitting. When we walk, we know we are walking. When we eat, we know we are eating.”
