To create, grow and sustain vital Youth & Family Ministries

Initial Purpose

To enhance the Spiritual un-foldment & growth of the children who attend the Celebration Center through activities and learning experiences grounded the Science of Mind & Spirit philosophy. To support and create avenues for families to grow spiritually in their family units.

Programs offered   Sunday mornings -11:00-12:15

Nursery program -  8 weeks to 4 years old

Sunday Children's Church Program Children -  5 yrs-14 yrs old

Children are gathered in the main church for the opening prayer and blessing of the children by the whole community. The children are then escorted to their children's program space in The Loft. 

Welcome to the Family Ministries Program at the Celebration Center!!!

In order to continually improve our programs for the children of the Celebration Center of Religious Science, and ensure a safe and pleasant environment for the children, we ask each parent or guardian to fill out the information on the Youth Ministry Participation form and return it to a Family Ministry Representative at the Celebration Center annually.

Celebration Center offers a Sunday Children’s Church program for children 8 weeks to 14 and a Teen program for youth 15-18. On Sunday Mornings, children attend the opening of big Church in the Sanctuary with their parents. The Minister asks the children to come forward for the community blessing and then they are released to the Children’s Church Facilitators to go across to “the Loft” (Our building with Classrooms and our main office) to have their own special class.  Teens attend/ assist in big church and attend special outings and group times outside of Sunday mornings.

Please help walk your child/children (8 wks to 14 yrs) over to the loft the first few times they are in attendance so they become familiar with where your children are while you are in service. It’s also a great opportunity for your kids to show off their space to you. Another reason is the parking lot where we are located is a commercial area and cars do not always watch for pedestrians. For the continued safety of our children, we ask parents please communicate with their children the need to be careful and walk with our staff while in the parking lot.

We appreciate your thoughts, input and ideas with our children’s program. We also ask parents to please sign up to volunteer once or twice a quarter in children’s church. Our facilitators are volunteers and need your support and assistance from time to time so we meet ratios of 1:4 children in our older age groups and 1:3 in our younger age groups.

Our Curriculum is developed by a team of facilitators and Practitioners who are members of United Center for Spiritual Living. It is based on “What we Believe” by Ernest Holmes.

We look forward to many years together working together in the loving un-foldment of your children’s Spiritual growth and development. We have a great group of kids who are growing up to be awesome Global Citizens!

Dear Youth Ministry Volunteers/Parents/Facilitators,
 
In order to continually improve our programs for the children of the Celebration Center, and to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for the children, we are asking each youth volunteer to fill out the information on the Youth Ministry Volunteer form and return it to Bea Curl before serving with Family Ministries. You must also fill out Background Verification Release Form for TRAK-1.
 
Volunteer Opportunites

• Pre-Teen & Teen Leader - Coordinates and Supports all Activities for youth 13-18 Yrs old
• Pre-Teen support Facilitators - Assist Pre-Teen/Teen Leader in Implementation of program activities
• Children’s Program Lead Facilitator - Coordinates and implements UCSL Curriculum for children 5-12
• Nursery Leader - Coordinates & Implements all aspects of the younger children’s program
• Pre-School Facilitator - Implements UCSL Pre-School Activities (already written)
• Toddler care provider - Lovingly cares and plays with Children 13 mos-3 yrs
• Infant Care Provider - Lovingly cares and plays with children 8 wks-12 mos
• High-Watch Practitioner - Provides Prayer Support & holds consciousness during children’s church on Sunday mornings. Is available for Prayer with the children and the Family Ministries staff.
• Family Ministries Webmaster - Provides weekly updates to the Celebration Center Website (with assistance from the CCRS Webmaster) for the Family Ministries programs.

We appreciate your thoughts and ideas and look forward to many years together in working to enhance the self-esteem of the children who attend Celebration Center through the awareness of their own spiritual connection and the teachings of Science of Mind. From what I have seen so far, we have a great group of kids who are growing up to be awesome Global Citizens!
