Joy Is How Love Feels

Treatment by Tim Phares, RScP

This past weekend, our Center undertook the Co-Creation process.  It is a very deep and dynamic process designed to heal and to bring new good.  That newness, as our facilitator, Dr. Karen Kushner, says, is “the new good that even you cannot imagine.”  Wow, sign me up for that!

We had an interesting experience coming together on a word to be the focal point of Celebration Center’s new good.  We ultimately came to joy.  But getting there was quite an experience.  We had worked all afternoon, at least, to find consensus and we had been unable to do so as long as we were attached to getting there.  Finally, we released the idea of getting to consensus, deciding that it was all right if we didn’t.  That’s when we got there — the power of release.  (That’s why it’s the last step of a treatment.)

Dr. Karen shared with us a quote from the people who put together the Co-Creation process, Revs. Marcia Sutton and Lloyd Strom: “Beauty is how love looks; joy is how love feels.”  And in that Cosmic Joy, we stand in anticipation of the newness that is already ours as it comes to manifestation.

These lines by T.S. Eliot are appropriate:

There is, it seems to us,

At best, only a limited value

In the knowledge derived from experience.

The knowledge imposes a pattern and falsifies,

For the pattern is new in every moment

And every moment is a new and shocking

Valuation of all we have been.

And so we treat:

There is only One Life, the Life of God, in all, as all, through all.  That One Life is the perfect, whole, and complete expression of Love, Joy, Peace, and Beauty.  It is expressing as my life and the life of my center.

All that the One Life is, each of us is.  All that It is, we are together — a community: “oneness together”.  That Life is each of our lives right here and right now.

We live in love, expressing as joy, inspired by joy and love, right now.  We simply open and accept the flow of new good, of the newness beyond anything we can imagine.  We know and accept that the pattern is new in every moment and we lovingly live in that newness, joyously living in our new good that we cannot even imagine in that pattern that flows from our experience.  We say yes to the overwhelming, overflowing newness and goodness that is ours NOW.

And for that, I am deeply grateful.

And so, knowing the power of release to take us where we cannot go, knowing that releasing the attachment brings the manifestation, in that deep gratitude, I simply let go, release, and know that it is done beautifully right now.

And SO it IS!
